FOODIE | Unveiling The Remy -A New Era of Steakhouse Sophistication
I have some major foodie news that’s been shaking up the San Diego dining scene. And trust me, this is something you’re going to want to sink your teeth into.
If you’re a fellow San Diegan, you might have heard about the closing of Hunter's Steakhouse, an iconic spot in Mission Valley with a history of over 40 years. Yes, it was a sad moment for all of us. It was that go-to place for good food with good friends, a friendly cocktail lounge, and a warm fireplace to cozy up next to. The legendary New England clam chowder, their world-famous squaw bread and butter, and perfectly cooked prime rib - oh, how we’ll miss them. Enter, The Remy.
Now, let's get one thing straight. The Remy isn't just a replacement - it’s a revolution. Walking into The Remy is like stepping into an episode of Yellowstone, but with a fabulous upscale twist. They've taken the charm of the old west and given it a sleek, chic makeover. Think rustic glam meets contemporary elegance, with a hint of cowboy boots and Stetsons.
One of the things that truly sets The Remy apart is their incredible focus on quality. They're exclusively serving American Wagyu from Whitefish, Montana. That’s some of best beef I’ve e tasted!. Paired with hand-crafted cocktails, mocktails, and a global wine list, this place is the real deal.
And let’s not forget about the ambiance. This place is so much more than just a steakhouse, it’s a whole vibe. So whether you're planning a personal celebration, or looking for a place to host your next corporate event, The Remy is ready to provide a private steak and cocktail dinner experience for larger groups. Fellow event planners, the second floor is a perfect buyout space. I can see it now - clinking wine glasses, laughter filling the air, and a steak that will make your guests question every other beef they’ve ever tasted. ;)
Of course, their bathroom was super cute.. it’s a Co-Ed situation.. but I’ll allow it bc they put a mirror in each stall lol.
I can't wait to go back already! So, my advice to you? Put on your best western flare, grab your favorite peeps, and make your way down to The Remy. With its blend of Old West charm and modern sophistication, it's not just a new restaurant - it's a new San Diego dining experience right in MY neighborhood - Mission Valley!
PS - Mission Valley resident pro-tip, this place is open till 10 PM on weeknights, 10:30 PM Fri/Sat!
It’s hard to find late-dins spots in this post-pandemic world. Nicely done The Remy team!
